The 2024 winners of the Shine Mental Health Media Awards were announced at a special presentation ceremony in Dublin in December. The awards are organised by Shine’s Media Programme, the national programme for responsible reporting and representation of mental illness.

As September segues into October and we lean into the winter months, we in Shine, a national charity that supports people with lived experience of mental illness and their families, reflect on the success of this year’s Green Ribbon Campaign which runs for the month of September each year.

Today sees the launch of the HSE ‘Westmeath and Longford Goes Green’ campaign to mark World Suicide Prevention Day and to raise awareness of Shine’s See Change Green Ribbon Campaign.
