2020 Set Closure Days For Shine Resource Centres

To support our ongoing service delivery, Shine Resource Centre services will take time in 2020 to pause, reflect, recharge and plan.

On these days, Shine Dublin Resource Centre will not be open.

·         20th January

·         12th February – ½ day, time to be confirmed

·         20th April

·         13th May – ½ day, time to be confirmed

·         20th July

·         12th August – ½ day, time to be confirmed

·         19th October

·         11th November – ½ day, time to be confirmed

On these days, Shine Cork Resource Centre will not be open.

Shine Christmas Closing Times 2019

Shine Head Office and Resource Centres will close at 5pm on Monday 23rd December and will re-open on Thursday 2nd January.

Positive Wellness Day, Celbridge, 11th Jan 2020

We are delighted to team up with Celbridge Manor Hotel to get 2020 off to the best possible start with a Positive Wellness Day, dedicated to positive mental and physical well-being.

We are delighted to have Rory from Rory’s Stories speak about his own experiences of mental health and form part of our panel discussion. We will have a number of other guest speakers on the day, experienced panel members alongside various associations and groups providing information and available for individual chats and demonstrations.

The event will finish with a comedy night staring Robbie Bonham and MC’d by Steve Cummins (Laughter Lounge), tickets €15 also available from Eventbrite.

Headline Mental Health Media Awards 2019

We would like to extend heartiest congratulations to all the winners and shortlisted nominees at the Headline Mental Health Media Awards 2019. It was a wonderful emotional afternoon full of laughter, celebration and tears.

We were so honoured to have so many people in the room dedicated to safe, compassionate reporting and a desire to create an open discussion on mental health in the media.

The awards recognise and celebrate stories that breakdown stereotypes, engage audiences and enhance the public’s understanding of mental health issues. Winners announced on www.headline.ie

St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal

This year, Shine are delighted to support the SVP – Society of St. Vincent de Paul Ireland Annual Christmas Appeal. We are taking part in the Food Appeal and The Giving Tree in our offices and centres across Ireland.
